Freedom Day establishes Silo's central act of worldbuilding in its opening minutes: a sealed underground community of 10,000 people, generations deep, bound by laws that make asking certain questions a capital offence. The premiere balances genre setup with genuine mystery without letting either consume the other. Rebecca Ferguson's Juliette is introduced at a careful distance - enough to establish her as the season's engine without pre-empting the arc.
